Reasons why my account details cannot be deleted

Under our current Maltese license requirements, we must comply with the Prevention of Money Laundering and Funding of Terrorism Regulations (Legal Notice 372 of 2017), which can be found here.

Section 13 of this Code sets out provisions that mean we are not permitted to delete, destroy, or alter any information stored in our database until 6 years have passed since the last transaction or the closing of the customer's account. In the absence of any other legal requirement, this information will be deleted when the applicable retention period expires.
